ok , so now we're done with the fitting of the engine .. time to make it perdy first I started with removing the pan .. for those whom don't know , the original oil pan and pick up on the 5Vzfe wont fit this application . so as you saw in the previous pictures , I already powder coated the pan I need .. With the pan off , I can now drill the new dipstick location .. and install the new holder installed with a little red LOCKTITE just for "piece of mind" also removed the "front end" to replace with all new parts new oil pump , water pump , timing belt , bearings ect .......

little more today .. still working on the front lift , so got the crossmembers , shocks , sway bar , axles , and a few other things also checked the rear harness for damage , and re wrapped POR15'ing the frame , you need to remove all the "lock" clips , so this is what I use to lock the harness into place straps not yet tightened , as I may need to move the harness one way or the other

Looking really good Corey. Cant really see the yellow in the pic, is it that bad? Looks good on the pics, nice to have the ability to powder coat in your shop.
You really do quality work, its amazing. If I was ever paying someone to do a vehicle for me you would be hands down the person I would go to. Its nice when you see someone put all the extra efforts in to a project. Cant wait to see this when its done.

thanks Kevin ... yeah .. it's a little yellow . this morning when I went in ,I was able to handle it .. I'm not happy with it .. it definitely has a "yellow tinge" to it , don't know why , maybe I layed it on to heavy . this stuff is a lot of trial and error , always a learning curve to it

took the opportunity today to get some of the "smalls" done today installed the spare tire carrier . I used the newer cable unit instead of the old chain type . POR 15'd , and now installed also pulled the rear drums off to check the rear brakes . Previous owner had said he had just had everything replaced .. he wasn't lying so I just lubed up the emergency leaver and painted the rear drum . Neversized all the hardware , and put the drum back on also started on the front brakes . upgrading to the V6 calipers . NEW , and now with some caliper paint installed , with new pads , and the new hardware , also added new Stainless flex lines also picked up these bad boys from my bud Brad > 33X12:50/15's .
