so busy working on a few things for Zack ... he asked me to install the hood skin I build .. and make it work . some of you may know , we lost the underside of the actual mould in a fire about 12 years ago , and because of shipping costs .. (total cost delivered ~ $800.00 for the hood) I don't know to many people interested in an 800 dollar hood for there Toyota , so I never rebuilt the moulds . anyway .. with the truck in my shop , I really wanted to satisfy his request .. I still don't know if it's going to work or not , but I'm gonna try so started cutting the skin off we'll see what happens .. as I told Zack , no promises on this part Zack also wanted MAX protection , while we had it stripped , so floor completely scuffed , and ready for some POR 15 . also , got the rears fit

Love the flares, they look so freaking good.so wish I could afford to do that with my trekker build, especially with my big tires, but already got new fenders off of kijiji both sides for 60bucks, nice work as always!
That runners gonna look so sweet with the round flares compared to the square ones, never liked square flares on any truck.

so , just to let you know , the original hood needed to be replaced anyway . Zach wanted our FRP hood skin , so I said I would try . I knew there were a lot of variables to make it work , but I thought I would try . It could still be done , but because time is money , and this is how I make my living , I had to "call it" ... this typically is how a production mould is made .. lots of trial and error , major amounts of time , until you get a perfect piece . I don't have the "billable" time on this , and I told Zack , if it didn't work I wouldn't charge the time ... anyway new hood also , doors cured , time to install and trim the gaps also .. taking extra step and prepped the underside of the hood , and got it seam sealed

putting Zack's rig back together I think Zack painted the black on the grill already , but because of his drive , lots of bugs , so I cleaned the carcases off + the argent part was not that nice , so I taped , sanded and painted it lots more "little" things , but I'm not going to bore you with all those Zack will have a CD of pics .. lots of pics . doors going together
