Picked up an 82 Trekker in Arizona. Engine was replaced with a 20r, with a weber and header. A/C is hooked up, haven't tried it yet. Body needs lots of work. Interior also needs work. But I own a Trekker, sweet!!!

Welcome! "Body needs lots of work". Dude, you're in Arizona - how bad can it be?! Look at what some of these guys in Canada have dealt with! Plenty of good guidance, help, and parts here. It looks like someone made your canopy into a removable piece. Is that correct? Truck looks pretty straight and sounds like you got a great deal. Anxious to see more pics. What are your plans for it?

I tried the AC, it works and it's cold! There is NO rust on the body or frame, but the fiberglass has been busted, patched and siliconed. I'm going to strip off the nasty green paint to see what's under it. Trying to decide whether to sand it or have it sand/bead blasted. Any opinions on which would be better? Haven't dealt with blasting. I'm going to pull the topper off and gut the interior. I plan on mounting the topper back to original, someone put hinges on the outside and it looks and fits horrible! The interior roof/side panel is in rough shape. Once I pull the top and assess the panels, I'll decide on whether to recover it or do something with the interior of the fiberglass top. I plan on replacing the front bumper and other damaged parts. Same for interior- stock. I plan on painting it the stock factory grey.
