Your floor rust looks pretty much like how mine was.
Frame off repair would be the way to go...Maybe in a few years for mine. Good luck!

yup she's pretty rusty. so i think ill just fix the mechanical problems on it for winter so i can wheel in the snow ;D as for now ill probably get my 1990 p/u done this winter. (ill probably be ordering those fenders from you after all corey) and start the trekker in the spring/summer by pulling the body off when im not so busy with school. more updates to come as i get them done.

so ive been fixing up my trekker enough to drive in the winter. both front and rear brakes were metal on metal.
can i put the calipers from my 89 pickup on it? i think i just need the landcruiser rotors but cant remember. can i also swap the backing plates along with the pads and drums from the 89? they look the same just the 89's are bigger but just thought i'd make sure.

the 86-87 Turbo truck brake booster is a dual diaprahm booster where the others are single. There is a guy on pirate that with the 1" MC, turbo brake booster and disc's all the way around can lock up 38" tires....I have MC and turbo booster, now just need to do rear discs.... toyotatrekker.proboards107.com/index.cgi?board=chassispowertrain&action=display&thread=185I ordered my 1" Master cylinder from Marlin Crawler or Trail-Gear...don't remember, ordered way too much junk in the last year and a half

I ordered my 1" Master cylinder from Marlin Crawler or Trail-Gear...don't remember, ordered way too much junk in the last year and a half just to let you know Caylen ... that is a genuine toyota master .. here in Canada it's cheeper to buy it from the dealer .. and even cheeper to buy it from me , then to import it from the USA ..

alright so a couple updates.
i did brakes all round. swapped the bigger rear brakes from an 89. kept the stock front brakes for now. just got the pads about 30$. ill eventually put the bigger calipers and landcruiser rotors on it. while doing the this the stock master cylinder siezed or something?? i was getting no pressure to the front. so i swapped the bigger master cylinder from my 89 also. what did you guys do with the LSPV valve for the rear? i think im gonna take mine out. doesnt work anyway.
i got rid of the hanging key tumbler thing and just put a couple switches and a push button to start. this is just temporary as well.
when i restore it i think im going to take the 2" body lift out (its home made so its kinda hacked together and some of the mounts are cracked) and switch the 38's to 35's cause the 5.29's have to hard of a time turning those 38's!
im also in a dilema as what to do with the engine. i have a basically bran new 22re i could swap in (looks like a lot of work) or do i rebuild the 22r? what do you guys figure?
pictures coming soon.

Caylen you just cant remove the LSPV .. and not replace it .
you'll either need to replace it with a stock one .. or an adjustable one .. either way .. you'll need one . I have 1 or 2 laying around .. you pay the freight and you can have .
swapping in the 22re is a pretty simple opperation .. last one I did was 7 wires and that included the check engine lamp . I was very dissapointed with the power though , so I didnt think it was worth it . .. but if you have it .. it's probabally the most echonomical way to go .

yup you can. i did it to my 85 . i think, i cant really remember, i just took out the return line and put some plugs where it used to be. i did have to do some playin tho. i think you have to put the main line where the return line went or something. i cant remember but i know it can be done. i think i know what your talking about tho cause ive heard alot of reports where all 4 brakes went really soft and barely worked at all.

LSPV adjusts the brake pressure to the rear brakes .. without it .. you'd be running 50/50 ... I too have seen it done .. you can remove it , and run with it .. but ITS NOT SAFE normal brake pressure runs ~ 70%F ~30%R ~< rear break Pressure as you add weight to the rear , the prop.valve kicks in , and allows more pressure to the rear example : 1000lbs on the rear = break pressure ~55% front ~45% rear
