so I was able to work a bit on the trekker last night .. and started cutting the rail off .. had to do this in sections , and tack it , so that the roof wouldnt "pop" off and with it fully removed and just about finished 1 side .

shaved rain gutters are going to blend very nicely with the lines of the rear cap....can't wait to see how it looks when finished. it is little touches like those that make people do a double take and say 'Coooool"...not that they wouldn't say that just because it is a trekker....than wind up the supercharger and the v-8 guys are gonna cry

little more progress .. and custom touches because the 3.4L 's intake is on the battery side .. I had to remove the old battery trey .. It was a little rusty anyway , so it was an easy decision and started "plugging" and grinding all the NON-ecential holes .. also .. cut out the vents .. for a "smoothie cowl " .. just about done , and ready for sandblasting ... .

TIG I wish .. just use my MIG but very low setting , and very slow "stich" welding .

I can't wait to see what the smooth cowling looks like when finished. I never really got the venting slots. They are just a leaf catch. yes .. and "snow blowers" .. just after a fresh snow fall in cold weather .. ever gone into your unit , fired it up and turned on the heater ? BLAST of snow ? .. not no more with the smoothie .
