so everything seems to be happening at once .
I was looking for a storage shed .. so I could move my "spare parts" inventory , outside . finally found one , and got it set up last weekend ..
time to start moving pieces .
well finally got it all done today . I was able to totaly re-do my shop .. moved almost everything .
and now i'm ready to get my project going again ..
pics tomorrow .

ok .. so here's where I'm starting . don't mind the dust .. it's been sitting inside my shop for a while now . there is one small rust hole on The right side .. front spring hanger , inside box steel .. you can see it in the pic .. it's so minor , I'm just going to weld in a patch , I see NO reason for a fish plate . one day .. I'm going to clean it all up and POR-15 inside and out .

so a little work today ... got onto the frame repair . got the little plates/patches welded in .. It really wasnt that bad at all , the main / worse dammage was from me hitting with a hammer it trying to find the rust .. I really didnt see any point in doing "fish plates" .. as there (in my opinion) was NO structural strength loss . Other side is perfect . and done .. also started "prepping the frame for the POR-15 treatment.

Looking forward to this build...my wife would kill me if I had two projects going at the same time like you...Whick one do you want to finish first the Trekker or the '84 2WD? Looking at your parts truck it makes be kind of want to convert the my grill/headlights to an '82-83... hmm .. tough question ! I really didnt want to do both projects at the same time .. but circomstances dictated both . The 2WD is actually a show truck .. it's my advertizing budget , and I plan on taking it to shows all around , to promote my business . Trekker is a passion , a wanabee daily driver , and also an advertizing promo product . I wanted to give it to my son for his 16th ... but he wants a Mustang ... so hence the supercharger .. NoW I wanT It so .. I'll just keep pluggin' away at both of them . little more today ... got the top side done (cleaned) , flipped it over and started on the bottom side .
