I know its not a Trekker but it still is Toyota. The Trekker is next on the list. So i will try to keep the posts limited as to not 'clog up' the threads. This truck was given to me by my uncle. He built the flat deck himself and purchased the doors and front fenders. It was then given to me to 'finish.' Last year i had the deck sandblasted then i primed it. I also cut out the middle cross member due to frame rot, patched up the frame and built my own cross member. Its sat like this ever since So here's what im starting with.... Yes that is snow at the end of May! crazy Alberta I bought a second cab as it was in way better shape Stripped and ready to weld in new floor panels (which i will get from the black cab as they are still good) then sent to get sandblasted.

I like it. I like a 2nd Gen Project truck... that Cat with the forks on it probably helps with cab swaps ;D Two vehicles on the ' I should have kept list' 1) my '84 Extra Cab Toyota 4x4 2) my '67 VW Karmann Ghia

Corey: Does the POR-15 have any issues on the frame when it comes to flexability? NO . all welded up and ready for sandblasting. which turns out i will be doing if i ever get time off work! some very nice work there bud !! .

So i have loads of updates and pictures for this truck. I will post 'em as soon as i get them off my camera. Almost ready to boxline the entire cab, fenders, doors, and deck. Just one problem: Its been over 24 hrs and my primer isnt dry yet. Any ideas? I used ClovaPrime 21, have used it lots in the past and never had any problems. Can is a year old but never froze. Temperature is about 20'C (dropping down to maybe 3'C at night) and humidity is 60% ish. Primer is 'dry' but still 'soft'. I left the smaller parts out on a 28'C+ day and that definetely helped. Anyways im going to leave it out in the sun tomorrow to bake! I even used a little bit of that TremClad primer in a can just for touch ups and thats still tacky. Maybe its the low temps at night? After cab is complete i will swap over interior then take original cab off and send frame for sandblasting.

most likely , not enough catalyst for the temp and humidity . Heat is a must in this case , baking in the sun is a good thing . From what I understand .. in this situation , it will cure .. it'll just take time .

That's what I think to. I may have been a bit shy on the curing agent. I just needed a second opinion.
Thanks
Will get pics soon!

It would help , but it wont work with out lots of modifications .. studs are to short , so modifications would be necessary
