Well, after a year of calling with no answer its in my garage! Now the good. I can track the history, I, or if I sell it before I sign the title will be the 4th owner! Ive known the wife of the 2nd owner for a LOONG time!!!! The owner did jack the price on me once he got there, I was there about an hour before he showed up and did my homework, I was under, on and under the hood of the beast for a while. The front fenders are rusted at the corners, the drivers side front bumper / rocker is tweaked and there are small holes in the floor but nothing major at all... The intereor needs work, the back seat looks good, the front seats have been covered but are cracked up, as is the dash, the drivers side door panel is trashed, he said that somone tried to steal the speakers and only ripped out the drivers side, they were at the time nice Pioneer 6.5". The rear fiberlass does have a crack about 10" from the right tail light below the hatch, but thats 100% repairable. Its really never been off road and Matty the 2nd owner bought it back in the late 90s. The truck has not been molesed at all! Its only ever had stock size tires on it, its has a matching set of Coninetal AP's that have great tread but are shot because of just sitting around, they are really out of balance or have flat spots! Uner the hood it looks 100% original!!! The lights and wipers all work, the wiper motor pumps good etc. The interor may clean up, I wont know until I get a chance to really tear into it, the good thing is its in MY garage . The guy I bought it from handed me a reciept from 2006, when he had a new exhaust system, new manifold, plug wires, cap, rotor etc done to it for almost $700 and told me that he was only willing to take $800 for it. I grumbled a bit but paid him since it ran OK and I had been waiting for a year to buy it! The top end sounds a little noisy to me, but it does have 170,000 miles on the clock. Its got the SR5 cluster with a tac, down low it has the oil pressure / volt guage but no sun roof or sliding rear windows. It was built 5/1982 so its not the 81 that I was told it was but Im OK with that because it has a 5 speed gear box. I drove it home about 30 miles hitting speeds of 50ish, the brakes, lights, clutch, heat and gear box were good to go! It does need an oil change, which might quiet the top end, I did check the oil and added a quart before I started it, along with adding some anitfreeze to the radiator. I gave it a once over tonight with a flashlight, the "free mustache ride" sticker and the rest are history!! All 5 wheels match and it definitaly looks like its never been wrecked with the exception of the drivers side front left corner where it bumped something down low. It drives good and strait, shifts fine and actually got me a thumbs up from a guy on the way home!!!!!!! I was a little irritated to have to cough up 300 more than I was told but knowing the history, having some documentation to prove it and the fact that it runs pretty good for a 28 year old truck I said why not!! Here is a link to some 1st day pictures, mind you its not been cleaned, has been parked for over 6 months "so he said" I think its been sitting longer but who knows. Ill take more once I get it cleaned up!!!
