My name is Ernest, my first post. Hello Everybody.
My first vehicle as a kid, 15 or 16 years of age was a 1974 Toyota Hilux, and I stayed Toyota Since.
At age of 19, in 1981 I visited a local Toyota Dealership and drooled over the 4X4 pickup, it was stunning, nice, tall and purchased. Unfortunately, rolled and totaled vehicle few years later. Then purchased a used 84 4X4 which is currently my daily driver.
I've been hooked on Toyota's since, mostly 4X4 pickups. But, also like the recent MR2 Spyder.

what part of Houston? I'm not too far away in College Station. I'm just north of Downtown Houston, I almost bought the Trekker you have. It was located San Leon, TX area. It was a deal, I just have enough projects. In Spite of it looking rough, the engine ran smooth.

Welcome aboard...I sold my '84 extracab 10 years ago, miss it..but still year every now and than...that thing must have 400K on it by now.. 84 and 85 extra cab, that is one of my favorite models. In 84 when the new body style was introduced, I did not like it very much. It seemed way boxy. I've reconsidered and it's now one of my favorites.
