Ive got some new Yokahoma Geolander AT/S tires for the Trekker, I had the old dried out Continentals taken off the wheels last week, power washed them and got 2 of the 4 sanded and prepped for paint, Ill get the other 2 done tomorrow... I bought 2 cans of gloss white to keep them looking stock but Im not sure how I feel about it now, my Trekker is all stock and I plan on keeping it close to stock, I dont have a need for a lift or big tires so my question is, whould you guys keep them white or go to a silver or black??? Ive seen a lot of trucks with black wheels and I think I like the white look better, Im just curious what you guys think before I paint them becuase once the new tires are on there is no going back!! ~Matt

I'm positive on all the trekkers .. "factory" were either the chrome wheels , or the white spokes ..

Matt, I have the black rims on mine, but would like some brushed Aluminum ones. Have you thought about power coating? It will cost more, but would be well worth it. I have seen powder shops that will do this type of work popping up all over. Sorry I couldn't stop by last Thursday, we had unexpected meetings that lasted all week. I have been on the road since last Sunday and just got home this afternoon. I am in D.C. about once a month; hopefully I will get to see your truck on one of my trips.

I went ahead and bought the satin white to keep them stock, they are the SR5 steel spoke wheels. I had a set of wheels for my VW Westie powder coated a few years ago, they sand blasted and powder coated them for me for $45 per wheel, I thought about going that route with these wheels but for now I just want to get them painted and get the tires on it, its on jack stands in my garage next to my westie, Ive got the engine out of it and the trekker on jack stands, I cant get my lawn tractor out of the back corner Ill snap a few pictures when I get them on! I do need to track down 1 front hub cover / center cap really 1 front and 1 rear, my one rear is a little bent, Im going to give them a fresh coat of black as well....
