went to the toyota stealership today (where i used to work a long long time ago in a galaxy far far away) to pick up some parts and just for giggles i asked them to look up the toyota trekker. well the guy kept asking me if i was sure it was made by toyota so he obviously had no clue what it was. and there was no record of it in the computer. none! yet there was crazy old cars in it that ive never even heard of before. just couldn believe there was no sign of it

And, how about the Griffith? Don't mean to hijack this thread, but I didn't see much anywhere else...
There is one for sale near me, and '83. I wonder what is known abou them vs. the Trekkers?

the griffith conversions were called "trailblazers" , not trekkers .. they are basically the same idea , however the trailblazers utalized the factory bed , converted to a walk threw , and put a fiberglass canopy on top ..

So, the Trekker is a little bit cooler!? ;D
But, seems like both are similar enough and somewhat rare, so if I find a Trailblazer I could be in decent shape...
Anybody know if the top comes off of the Trailblazer? I emailed a guy with one for sale here in CA. I may go look at it this weekend unless it sells first. Any info is appreciated.
