the differance is between bace , dlx , and sr5 models . if memory serves me , sr5 had the woodgrain , and base and dlx models didnt . they are completely interchangable . Paul check out this page .... you'll love it . www.toyodiy.com/

I dont think so ... basically it the Toyota EPC (electronic parts catalogue) online .... so you can look up your own part #'s differances and so fourth .. you then could take that part # to any dealer and have them order the piece ...
20years I did the part # thing (former parts manager) ... believe it or not , I knew most of the 79-83 4x4 part #'s "by heart" .... It was my specialty .

Myself I wood use carbon fiber sheets, they come in wood grain. I have email several dash companies to see if the will make custom kit for me, will let u know the results...also check out youtube, lots of videos on this subject... ;D

I think the real wood would look pretty cool. I am pretty sure mine had the veneer at some point, there is remmants of some old adhesive. Mine has been hacked up around the radio too...
