Finally back and out of posting retirement... Engine has been decided for me by my brother. He gave me this brand new 305 GM crate engine in exchange for getting his 3.3L Subaru VW Vanagon Syncro conversion wired and running...
Garage is cleaned out and converted back over to working on just the trekker until it is on the road this year. (or at least darn close to it)
New seats came in Wednesday for it. The blue is not a match for the blue the body is painted, but it is in the same general area at least (crappy cell phone pic does not do the color any favors either)
that price is for the PAIR and free shipping as well! - dont know about to canada though i am sure they are from china made by 8 year olds working 16 hours days with no breaks, but they look decently made and for the amount of miles i will be driving this thing, (not very much) they should hold up pretty well.
Not too much accomplished today, but something. geting the transmission ready to take to the rebuild place tomorrow. I know for sure it was popping out of 2nd gear. At least that is what the guy told me when I bought it for $50 a while ago.
it was an automatic and the guy said he thought the engine might be locked up so I passed. it had a perfect no cracks dashboard though!! I told him if he got desperate and wanted to part it out, to call me.
So, I am still looking for the conversion parts and trying to decide on fueling.
