$13,500.00 is a lot of $$$$$ for a poor boy like me, but I bet he has more than that in parts and paint not to mention the time that must be in a rebuild like that. It would be nice to see the inside.

Much to my disappointment my wife said no to that truck as a possible x-mas gift

she has actually been pretty cool about stuff like that. She was only really PO'ed after she saw the pics of my ring gear in the oven: but 20 minutes at 200* sure made it slide over the carrier easier!

I emailed the seller for a little more information on the truck. I was curious about the '1 of 2 handbuilt units in the US' here was the reply: "In late 80's or early 90's John Safro bought the Trekker mold from Winnebago and made 2 "Trekkers". This is the one that ended up on a truck. The other was never put on a truck, to my knowledge."
If my wife would not kill/divorce me for raiding the retirement or kid's college fund I would be consider making an offer...

After looking at my 401k for last year, the Trekker may be a better investment than the kid's college fund. Has anyone found interior pictures for the truck? I have a picture of the motor compartment but can't load it up. Will e-mail it if anyone wants to see it.

Paul had talked to the owner and asked him to join the site. He may be able to help you.
