I'm a little in the "slew of dispondancy"
not sure weather to go with 4:88's and 33's on my Trekker .. or 36's and 5:29's .. ?

what type of terrian will you most like be using the trekker for? mud?... i'd go with bigger tires...... sand, rock?.. go with the 33'si mean it is only a 1 1/2" max height advantage overall....

mostly a "mall crawler" for now ... i'm building it for my son .. for a 16th birthday presant ... so very rookie .

next question is does it have powersteering? lol my first toyota... 1980 longbed..... i put a 6" suspension and 2"body life.... i had 35" thornbirds..... for about 3 months.... worse tire for daily driver.... down sized to 33 BFG's..... much happier with driverablaty.... plus i DIDN'T have power steering.... man did i have BIG fore arms.... lol..... too bad i flipped her into a lightpost on a rainy day....

from what you plan on it sounds like 4.88's and 33's...but if you plan on ever going bigger, always re-gear for what you think you might do....I did 4.88's in my 84 and 8 months later paid again for 5.29's... I know I made a mistake buying 33's for the trekker  should have gone 35's... ;D |

yes .. I have been down that road as well .
but I think on this one , i'm going to go with the 4:88's and 33s .

but as you know , I have decided to go with the 5VZ-fe engine ..
I'll be keepin' the factory 4:11's ... 33's should be no problem to turn .
