About 3 years ago I did the complete truck in black with the roll on bedliner you get from wal mart. (dupli color i think) I bought an under coating gun and used that. I think I did 1.5 gallons on the entire truck. Then I bought some gray stuff off ebay and two toned it. After 3 years of that it started to flake off here and there. So i decided to look for something new. The rhino and line x guys wanted $3500 to do the outside. I did some research and went with Al's Liner www.alsliner.com. I used their texture gun and added my own pigment. I did have the entire truck Soda blasted and then POR15 all of that inside and out. The guys at Als were awesome for tech support. To cover up all the black por15 I needed 5 gallons of the liner. So far I can tell its 100 times better than the other stuff i used.

I have heard of lots of guys doing the "ryno liner" on the exterior , curious about the "added weight" , be interesting to run it over some scales and figure ou the new weight .

I just got the word on the weight. It's just under 10lbs a gallon. so less than 50 lbs. Is that a lot? I am sure compared to paint its not.
