Hey everybody! I'm new to the site, looks like i may be here a lot more in the future! I recently stumbled across a 1983 trailblazer in my quest for finding a 1983 4wd pickup, anyway...... here are the specs: 1983 trailblazer with all of the correct badging, 177,000 miles on the body, no engine or transfer case (only the transmission), it has all of the original interior and its actually in pretty good shape except for the dash pad, the bad part is that the owner doesn't have the title for the truck. any idea on what its worth? The current owner said that he paid $400 for it and he kinda mentioned that i might be able to just "haul it away" any idea on how to get a title on a vehicle this old? I do know of a donor 1983 truck that i could swap cabs on but i'd really like to keep it all original if i can. any help or input would be appreciated.

Well the guy called me back and told me I could have it for $400 plus he'd also throw in another set of rims and tires, prolly gonna get it this weekend and post up a bunch more pics. Any ideas on how to change the metal grill that's just forward of the the windshield and right behind the hood? I noticed that this one was pretty rusted out and it'll need to be repaired
It is to allow for air flow for heater /air conditioner opperation .. also the little air ventalation vents .
I "smoothed" mine .
almost every first gen I have seen these days has rust in the inside of the cowl . the vents allow pine needles , leaves , dust , dirt , snow , water , ect.... in to the cowl area .
In my opinion , even with my cowl smoothed , there is still enough air flow for the heater and A/C opperation . The only really noticable differance I have noticed , is the ventalation vents dont have as much air flow
