No one that i know of has done it, the 3.0 is not a very popular engine due to its head gasket issues, lack of power (the 3rz 2.7L puts out the same HP and weighs substantially less) and the fact that the 3.4 is almost as direct of a swap as a 3.0 in any Toyota. I dont know if this is something you are considering, or just wondering about, but I would have to urge against it, there are too many other engines that are better choices.
Right on!! Good choice with the 3.4 by the way, i would have loved to do that same swap in mine, but the 22RE was already in my possesion. Plus i will have my hands full enough with the 2JZGTTE that is going in my 94 2wd Prerunner!! Cant wait for that one to be finished!
Cool, once i start on it I'll join the other board and make a thread on there too.
My 2JZ is a JDM engine with 16,000 miles. I'm planning on running a Stand Alone Fuel Management System on it and hoping to be around the 600hp range on pump gas, but again, its going to be a race truck for desert racing.
