Well i am back! Its been 12 years almost but i finally found another one...
My original Trekker was an 81....it was amazing. Not sure if many people remember the Weadwhacker, but i started the Online trend of information about Trekkers back about 12-13 years ago. I had a small website with as much info as i could compile back when i was about 17....
At any rate. I sold it being stupid when i was 18...and i regret it more then anything. I found one here in Cali, unmolested with 120K miles onit. It is a bit ruff around the edges but nothing i cant take care of. I now own my own fabrication shop and build offroad trucks. This truck will not be molested in the since of being tore up. It will be a clean DD/weekend warrior, but with the Trekker Essence not being lost. It will have clean Fabrication work done on it, as well as probably a motor upgrade and suspension upgrades. Plans are some sort of V6...probably a toyota, along with Custom long travel Deaver springs, shock hoops, and some nice bypass shocks. Along with a 4.1 Crawl Ratio. Other then that...it will stay pretty much all Trekker.
Here are the pics of it now, and i will be going to pick it up on Friday. It runs and drives the way it is, but i will be trailering it back to My shop.
1981 Toyota Trekker. Documented with a Winnebego Serial Number. I will register it when i get everything in line.
This truck will be tore down to the ground and completely repaired. it has some floor rot on the front driver side, that i will be fixing first. and the door will need to be purchased. Hopefully Corey can help me with that!
I am sure excited to finally find one in decent shape. Let me know what you guys all think...
I will make sure to update with as many pictures as i can...
Here is the trekker as it sits....
