Well it's been a while since my last post and thought I would make a update. I just swapped my tranny in and it's bolted up. Problem 1 is that I thought it was a direct bolt in cause I pulled new tranny from my 83 toyota 4x4 but found out its longer so now drive line mods and cross members are in order as well. Progress is slow cause we just moved back to Washington state and bought a house. Good news is no more working in gravel but now in a nice 3 bay shop. So this weekend seats and drive lines are coming out and all old carpet. I will have pictures up this weekend to show the slow progress. Oh and almost forgot anyone know how to identify toyota trannys I have no idea what is in there now. It came out of my 83 and is a 5 speed and is longer then what' was in the trekker I am thinking its a w56 but not sure. Well here's the update and more to come.

Well got the seats out.... And man oh man the rust... So some repair there. Also have most of the carpet out today as well. It's been a busy weekend all the family wanted to see the new house so I couldn't get very far. I will post pics soon. Next on the list is remove the top and then back to rust repairs. When I pulled the passenger seat out I fount it siting on a concrete block to help stabilize it. So redneck repair number one found and plenty more I am sure are ahead. In the future I want to do things right the first time and not have to worry about it. As for the floor pans I think I will replace them rather then patch them. Anyway pics are coming soon I just got to get time to get to the computer. More to come.

We'll not much to update. The house and it's projects have been keeping me busy. I did just pick up a cheap welder to do the floor pans with so that will be happening soon. I just need a grinder and to get my sheet metal and I will update then with pics. Slow but it will be worth it. So a question... Where the fiberglass meets the metal of the cab is rusted in a spot and I would bet it's worse then it looks. So should I break up the fiberglass repair the metal then re fiberglass like it was stock? I know that it's hard without pics so I will try to post some in the morning.

Well passenger floor boards are in the driver side this weekend. Then finish the tranny swap (cross members) and hope to have it done this weekend. Monday if everything goes well I will have a local company build my drivelines.

Well floorboards are in ,some cheap carpet is in for now. Tranny is done and lift and tires are on. Had a wireing issue but solved it. Took it to work for the first time today and it was pretty cool to finally be able to drive it. Next is a front axel rebuild and change all fluids.
