Hello all. Bought my first of many Toy 4x4's back in 88, it was a 1980 LB metallic brown rusty ex foresty truck with lots of hard miles on it. It sported 31" Michelin AT's, white spoke wheels and a hd steel bumper on the front with an 8000lb 8274 warn winch. I was in love, best $1000 dollars I ever spent. The truck took me more places than I could have ever imagined and even more places that a truck shouldn't go, (the winch kinda helped there). I discovered and frequented Clear Creek with this truck and ejoyed many a soak in the hot springs back when it was still a nice place to go.... Anyway, enough of memory lane. Slackers build has impressed me so much that I've got the itch to build another Toy and convert it to a Trekker. I'm hoping that posting here will give me a little more incentive to start my search for a project truck in the new year. Like I really need another project..havn't finished the last project yet...the wife is going to kill me...lol.

It would be nice to find a complete Trekker but it's been a long time since I've seen one for sale anywhere near the Frazer Valley. I have found quite a few short box trucks that would make a great base to build on though. How much for the back half?

that would be the way to go .. IMO , but just depends on the time you have to build it
