So i built my electric lock for the rear hatch, i still have to paint the nut on the rear hatch part and shine of the chrom still, also nick a couple parts of the paint when i dropped it, hate when i do that. Also for inside the cab thinking of making a shroud or something for the main lock to make it look nicer, but it holds solid tight. I also wired up the switch in the front to open it so that the key has to be on for it to work, case somebody breaks into my truck. Never liked the original lock, always seemed like such a hack job coming from a brand new Toyota truck.

Hey Corey i put my struts on my hatch , they are so strong they will throw me back before i can close the hatch, looked them up and they are strongarm 4292 rated at 100lbs each, what rate should i go with? Especially since i am not going with glass window so the hatch will be lighter then stock. Thanks

ahh crap .. obviously that's not right .. they crossed them over directly from mine , obviously , they got them wrong . i'll get you a # off mine , and you can try there . see this is exactly why I stopped selling this stuff . I HATE relying on "other" people . makes me look bad .

So found some strong arm #4644 they are 30lbs and I would say a touch too light as I have to push the hatch up a couple inches at the end if I want it tallerbut my truck is so tall it's not necessary. But I really like them, they put no stress at all on the topper hindges or the inside hinges. When I pop my electric lock the hatch opens automatically nice and smoothly and works amazing!. Really happy with them.
Also Corey I twisted the rear hatch frame like you were saying and the body lines are still not perfect but alot better then they used to be. I will play with that seem more. It's coming together!

Corey When you tinted your rear side topper windows how dark did you go and does it effect driving at all at night?I would like as dark as I can get but not sure if it will effect driving with them.

I went dark .. I think it was 60% , but I don't remember . sitting in the drivers seat .. you don't use those windows for driving visibility .. backing up maybe , but I use my back up camera and my side mirrors .

Do I got my windows almost done. I found some new felt that was taller and has a plastic barrier in the middle of it and seals awesome. My only problem now is cannot find push in seal to go around the big window. I've been to so many stores and searching the net and always a dead end. I am prob going to glue them in with some urethane and call it a day and finally be done with it. Worst part is the windows are so scratched up from wheeling. Went with limo tint and polished up the frames.

Well finally windows are installed and Done! Even found the push in seal for the outter window after 6 months of looking. It was tight getting it in, that thing should not leak!
