Hi everyone,
Super excited to get back to work on my trekker. Its an 81, my uncle bought it new in 81 and drove it pretty regularly until the late 90's. It sat out in las vegas for a few years (no rust!) until i started driving in the early 2001. I finally towed it home to denver and stripped the interior, put in some bedliner and new seats , lifted it, put some tires on it and drove it daily through college. During my college years. I rebuilt most of the drivetrain except the engine. Put in toyota electric lockers front and rear and put 4.7 gears in the t-case. I took regular trips to moab and wheeled the hell out of it. Then after college I joined the air force and went to pilot training. The trekker stayed behind in my moms garage. Now I've graduated training its time to start returning her to her former glory. its not going to be a slacker style rebuild but she look good again. Pics to come. I super stoked to find this site and start using it!!
