What is the difference between a Toyota 2wd bed and a 4wd bed?
I have a RUST FREE 2wd bed I want to put on a 4wd frame.
The 2wd bed is a 1980.
The 4x4 frame is a 1983.
Problems?
Solutions?

dimentially they are the same . so no problem with bolting to the frame , as long as were talkin' long to long or short to short .
skirts welded on the lower of the bed are the main differance . 2WD bed has a smaller wheel , 14" , so the skirts are longer to "fill" up the opening . They also dont have previsions , or holes for the flare .
quite easy to cut the lower skirts , and drill holes an add the flares to make it into a 4WD bed

When you say skirts are you talking about the lip where the flare mounts or below the bed seam?
